New exhibition brings together selected degree projects

EX-WORKS 20
In the EXHIBITION EX-WORKS 20, the Museum of Furniture Design creates a common stage for selected degree projects. The projects from Beckmans were shown at the graduation exhibition held at the school during Stockholm Design Week, but many of the other schools' projects never got the chance to be shown publicly when the coronavirus cancelled graduation exhibitions in the spring.
"The students' furniture design shows a significant range. There is a high artistic and intellectual level, well-studied functionality, exquisite craftsmanship and material processing and many times a well thought out circularity. The exhibition gives an insight into the schools' working methodology, design process and results," says Lars Bülow and Kersti Sandin, who run the museum.
Five projects from Beckmans
From Beckmans, five projects have been selected: Khata lounge chair by Sinar Alexis, Sven Markelius by Frida Fröderberg, Pinot by Mika Lindblad, Novum by Ronja Reuber and Trajectories of a Sweeping Thought by Joakim Zickert.
The exhibition runs 10 Oct – 20 Dec at Möbeldesignmuseum, Magasin 6, Frihamnsgatan 50. Open Sat-Sun 11.00-17.00.
