Beckman College of Design is state-funded and owned by the Foundation Beckman College of Design. On April 10, 2019, the Foundation's Board of Directors will decide on a new Chairman. The nominee for the new chairmanship is Leif Pagrotsky.

  "We are pleased to be able to nominate Leif Pagrotsky as the new Chairman of the Beckman College of Design. Leif has long and solid experience of higher education, not least in Beckman's focus areas. We are sure that Leif, with his curiosity, his focus on quality and commitment, will be a great asset in the continued work of developing Beckmans," says Daniel Sachs, Chairman of the Foundation.
"At the same time, we would like to thank Lars Strannegård, who has been an excellent chairman during a period when Beckmans has undergone major changes.    

About Leif Pagrotsky

Leif Pagrotsky has a background as a Social Democratic politician and has held a number of senior ministerial posts. He has served as Minister of Trade, Minister of Economic Affairs, Minister of Education and Culture, and most recently as Consul General of Sweden in New York. Music, literature, film, design and computer games are areas that Leif Pagrotsky identified early on as areas where Sweden is at the forefront, and he has made a name for himself as an advocate of the experience industry as an important export industry.
