Current exhibition at Nationalmuseum

Pär Engsheden works primarily with couture and is the Royal Court Supplier. Right now he is presenting an exhibition at Nationalmuseum where the Nobel dresses that he created for the Swedish Academy's permanent secretary Sara Danius between 2015-2018, are on display. The exhibition is part of his research project at Beckmans where, based on the four dresses, he investigated what couture stands for in a contemporary context.

At Beckmans he has been working as a guest teacher and supervisor since the mid-90s and since 2013 as program manager at Mode and senior lecturer in fashion design. He himself joined Beckman's fashion line from 1988 to 1991 and was already known for his tailoring skills, extreme accuracy and penchant for classic elegance.

Congratulations Pär!
