Beckmans lecturer now also professor at Malmstens
The position involves both teaching and research in the subject of furniture design.
- In terms of subject development and research, I intend, in collaboration with the school's Staff, students and hopefully also with others active in Linköping University, to formulate, initiate and write project applications that relate to the development of innovative, urgent and sustainable furniture design / furniture production. A priority area at Malmstens is also cross-border cooperation and development projects between our respective education programs in Furniture Upholstery, Furniture Carpentry and Furniture Design, says Andreas.
About Andreas Nobel
Andreas Nobel is a PhD and designer and started his career in the design group Uglycute. From the start, the group worked consciously and actively to allow theory, pedagogy and practice to fertilize each other and become a ours separate whole, something he has previously said he has used throughout his professional life as an interior designer and designer, as a teacher, as a writer and as a doctoral student.
In 2015, he defended his thesis "Dimmer on the Enlightenment - text, product design and design", which deals with the relationship product design and content in general and how design relates to the contemporary view of knowledge in particular.
In parallel with the professorship, Andreas will continue as a senior lecturer at Beckmans.
