Beckmans to Copenhagen Fashion Week
January 29, 2020
"For a few days in January, Copenhagen will become the fashion capital of the world and an important arena for our students where they will have the opportunity to meet an international audience. With its focus on sustainability, CPHFW is also a significant player in putting sustainability on the agenda," says Karina Ericsson Wärn, Headmaster of the School.
13 collection concepts in collaboration with Swedish fashion companies
At CPHFW, the graduating students at the Fashion Program show the project Window Shopping – Fashion Collaboration; 13 new collection concepts where the students collaborated with six Swedish fashion companies, all of which work forward-looking with sustainability; Axel Arigato, Filippa K, Hope, House of Dagmar, Nudie Jeans and Rave Review. In the collections, students interpret the brands based on their own creative ideas and aesthetics, thus creating new synergies.
Presentation at Axel Arigato in Copenhagen
At our partner Axel Arigato, the collections are presented together with the students' portfolios. Exhibition open to the public 29-30 January. Presentation (invitation required) on January 29 at 16.30-21.00. Address: Pilestraede 16, Copenhagen K.
Collaboration with the Visual Communication programme
The project is also a collaborative project with a group of graduating students in visual communication who have created a visual concept, Window Shopping, consisting of film, graphic identity, lookbook, web, art direction and content for social media.
