Alumni news: Innovative fashion brand launched

Beckmans alumni, fashion

Emma Wåhlin graduated from Beckmans 2019. Now she is presenting a mini-collection from her new fashion brand Elvyw, which will be launched this autumn.

"I've been inspired by the escapism of the entertainment industry and the creation of a dreamland," he said. The collection should feel playful and tailored but raw. The wearer can be both strong and sensitive at the same time, just like the society we live in.

Sustainable and innovative materials

The collection is based on unique, playful and tailored garments of sustainable and innovative materials such as Appelskin, leather made to half of apple peels and apple scraps left over from juice and marmalade production, Econyl, jersey made from picked-up fishnets from the sea and other recycled materials, vintage curtains from the 70s, ISKO denim, which works consistently to reduce environmental footprint and was the first denim to declare environmental footprint, and deadstock (leftover textiles from the fashion industry).

Right now you are seeing the mini-collection at NK in Stockholm.
