Mirage

Through visual deception and optical illusions, the collection explores how fashion can disrupt and distort our perception.

The project investigates how fashion can be used to disorient the gaze and renegotiate the visual language of the body. Inspired by trompe-l’œil, Dazzle camouflage, and artists such as Felice Varini, I have created a collection where geometric patterns and unexpected proportions cause the eye to lose its grip. The garments function as visual disturbances – they challenge the habitual way of seeing and perceiving the body, creating a play in which form and identity are displaced. The result is a collection that moves in the borderland between illusion and reality, where the eye is constantly forced to renegotiate what it sees.
