OmnChi

Maya Sundholm mode, material

The ability to physically change appearance; melt down, reconstruct and transform oneself has its core in OmniChi.

This collection illustrates a storyline where the female silhouette goes through stages of transformation, creating a motion in the way that the garments sit on the body. The moments where transformation occurs and the persona liquifies into something unfamiliar, to then take form as something new; a characteristic reincarnation.

The materials in the collection create a feeling of something futuristic, fictional and movement vs stillness in both body and garment.

Materials and techniques: Silicone base and pearls with patches using flock technique, knitted floats in wool, cotton and linen, digitally-printed fabric adorned with nails.
