Material: Sandcasted recycled aluminium
Our ambition was to make an updated version of the traditional Swedish wall-mounted candle holder. Oorts’ flexibility allows the candleholder to be placed on a table, while the panel remains on the wall. The panel itself throws the light with its naturally reflective surface, being a decorative piece with or without the candleholder.
For us, design is not only about aesthetics and problem solving, but can also be a means of change for the environment and manufacturing process. Oort is made of recycled aluminium and can in turn be recycled again, closing the production circle.
