Embryon- Material experiment

My collection explores the alchemists’ ancient need for transmutation, the yearning for rebirth, and humanity’s ancestral connection to wild nature. The mixture between the animal and the divine gives the collection a religious, almost ritualistic connotation. Layers of textile memory are joined together through techniques such as fusing, appliqué, and shibori, symbolizing the overlapping identities of this pagan journey. Smocking surface evokes the painful and glorious process of bearing a new consciousness. Thus, each garment stands as a relic of human evolution, where technique and myth are sewn together into a single skin.
