Vestige
Vestige explores the contrast between the innocence of childhood and the hardened exterior of adulthood. Inspired by Emily Brontë’s poem Lines, the collection expresses a balance between strength and vulnerability through form and tactility.
Rooted in reflections on the child’s presence within the adult, the work investigates shifting identities, emotional states, and the interplay between resilience and fragility. Through contrasts between materials such as knitwear and leather, a textile language emerges where strength and softness coexist. The tailored lines of the suit silhouette meet softer shapes and textures, weaving a narrative of protection, loss, and lingering tenderness.
