Be square
An intact piece of fabric has a lot of potential, it can become anything. But when making clothes you decide what the material shall be, you cut it into pieces and you narrow it down to what you have decided for it. I wanted to make a product while doing as little impact as possible on the original fabric. So this top and skirt are each made simply out off a squared piece of fabric (with two clean cuts in the top), no material is cut away. So it’s not only zero waste, but the idea is that one can undo the seams and once again get a full piece of fabric to use for something else. I believe that it is so important to value the material and do your very best to make sure its life will be as long as possible.
