Design proposal regarding the house facade on Blåfjällsgatan in Kista as part of an open call by Kista Open Art/The Kloud. The assignment was to create a work based on the motto “creative change”.

Kista Open Art/The Kloud

The work is made up of ceramic tiles in size 5 x 5 cm and 10 x 10 cm placed on different parts of the  facade. The ceramic tiles depict animals and vegetation that live and grow in the nearby Järvafältet. The ceramic tiles refer to pixels, and the animals and nature is portrayed in a playful way as an addition to the urban environment they are set in.

Designing in mosaic means that the work can be perceived in different ways depending on at what distance you are seeing it. The further away you stand to the motif, the more clearly the subject will appear, likewise the closer you stand it will be percieved more as color fields  and the motif becomes more hidden.
