Carrying Tension

The bag ”Carrying Tension” – explores the act of carrying as a bodily and emotional experience, rather than a purely functional one. Designed as a sculptural backpack, the piece questions conventional definitions of bags by shifting the focus from storage – to balance, protection, and movement.

Although conceived as a show piece, the bag is fully wearable. Its form follows the body, distributing weight across the shoulders and resting naturally on the hip, creating a surprisingly comfortable and ergonomic experience. The object interacts closely with the wearer, influencing posture and movement, and turning carrying into an active, physical dialogue between body and object.
