RE:COV

Project RE:COV is a custom-designed head protection solution for mogul skiing, developed in collaboration with POC Sports.

The injury rate in mogul skiing is high, particularly when it comes to head injuries. Compared to other disciplines within skiing, mogul skiing has relatively few athletes. As a result, manufacturers of protective equipment have found it difficult to justify developing specialized products for the sport. 

The goal has been to create a helmet that enables long and sustainable careers while also meeting athletes’ demands for functionality and visual expression.

Through impact analysis, interviews, and 10 years of personal experience competing at the elite level, the project has resulted in a design that combines appropriate protection, low weight, and form elements inspired by the culture of the sport.
