i samhället vi lever i finns ingen schemalagd tid för att bearbeta sorg. den förväntas vara privat och i bästa fall övergående. samtidigt är erfarenheten ofta motsatsen.
min pappas efterlämnade arkiv, förrådet, är fyllt av hans liv och karaktär. där har jag sorterat, samlat, och gjort mitt urval av objekt som är sammanförda med min egen visuella bearbetning av sorgen. vad händer när privat bearbetning blir offentlig genom formgivning?
tills vi ses igen är en artist’s book som undersöker hur grafisk design kan fungera som metod för att omforma sorgen från ohanterlig till något som fysiskt går att ta på, värna om och förvalta.

through the shaping of a personal archive, grief, memories, and silence are transformed. tills vi ses igen is a book work in which graphic design, as a method, makes grief more tangible.
In the society we live in, there is no scheduled time for processing grief. it is expected to remain private and, ideally, temporary. at the same time, the experience is often the opposite.
my father’s remaining archive, the storage room, is filled with traces of his life and character. there, i have sorted, collected, and curated my selection of objects that are brought together with my own visual processing of grief.
what happens when private processing becomes public through design?
tills vi ses igen is an artist’s book that explores how graphic design can function as a method for transforming grief from something unmanageable into something physical. something that can be touched, cared for, and preserved.
