Dying (Dead)

Dying (Dead) is a defiant manifestation, created exclusively from waste. Each piece is built from what we have chosen to throw away – transforming waste into testimony. Showing how the coral reefs are dying.

Fashion is used here as a carrier of responsibility, knowledge and critique. It’s a refusal to participate in false solutions and a demand for a reversal. The garments are created entirely from waste – PET-corks, old climbing ropes, discarded seat belts, recycled official t-shirts, scrap pieces and deadstock fabric. 

Showing how the tipping point for the coral reefs has been reached. That we have slaughtered the breathtaking splendor that was the heart of the ocean and now, only the eerie silence echoes in what once was the world’s most vibrant place. This collection is a demand for a reversal.
