OVER ATTACHED – SHOW 28.11.2019

Filippa Agaton mode, material

There is something so fine and so human about nostalgia; the need to hold onto past stages in life. We keep things that brings up memories, things that we may never again use or even look at, but which are nevertheless difficult to part with. It is such an irrational and uncensored behaviour, like a universal mindset-error. The collection illustrates the friction between present and past tense that appear in nostalgia, in the desperate but loving desire to hold onto something.

Materials & techniques: velcro, machine knitting using woolen thread and elastic yarn, silk and paper treated with saddle soap, nylon tights also treated with saddle soap and clear varnish.

Photographers represented: Maria De La Croix, Kolaco Kourouma & Kristian Löveborg
