It is the Foundation for the Promotion of Graphic Professions that awards the prize and the motivation reads:
"Almost ten years ago, Samira Bouabana started the Hall of Femmes together with Angela Tillman Sperandio in a quest to create a meeting place with female role models in graphic design to show career opportunities and offer mentoring. The same spirit permeates Samira's dedicated commitment to his students at Beckmans College of Design, which Samira guides and supports in both adversity and adversity. Samira Bouabana – an educational role model and a very worthy recipient of the education prize from the Foundation for the Promotion of Graphic Professions."
