PRODUCT DESIGN

When our graduate students started their education a few years ago, they came up with completely different knowledge, experiences and dreams. Differences are something we care about keeping, refining and developing, as it contributes to the diversity of products and environments that we need. They also have things in common such as artistic talent, a strong will and desire to express themselves, develop knowledge and have the opportunity to meet and work with others who want the same. Together, their knowledge bank has now grown and they master methods and processes that make them ready to both take on assignments and create important projects in the design field.
This year's graduating class is characterized by a strong sense of community and respect for each other. We can trace some common points of contact that they have chosen to express in different ways. In several degree projects, students have turned their gaze inwards and searched for answers to questions large and small. There is a curiosity about phenomena, behaviors and the impact of things on the environment and humans that are investigated by testing methods or inventing new ones. Some result in objects that may touch the collective consciousness and create recognition, others create applications that push the boundaries of what design can be. I believe that many of this year's graduates from Product design will contribute to the pushing of boundaries that design production is ready to take, to make design relevant today and tomorrow.
