While there is an ongoing debate about AI, many of this year's graduates of the Fashion Program have chosen to preserve and develop craftsmanship in their degree projects.
This involves both different techniques and material production.
Some have also worked with reuse in their creations, where old clothes become new garment parts or leftover material becomes something completely new. Several of the students' degree projects are also about people; as friends, in a work environment, about each individual's integrity and/or survival.
All of this can be summed up in the word 'care'. It's about reducing the environmental impact of clothing consumption, protecting craftsmanship and thinking about your neighbors.
As always at Beckmans Mode, in a highly personal and relevant way.
