Beckmans students interpret the Orion Theatre.
- Screen printing, photography and color as a method, the value of exploring gaze and perspective and building your own visual microcosm beyond the generic, has been an important part of the course work. Reflecting on the balance between the personal and the collective, what I as an individual am interested in and what is relevant to clients, to be heard by its audience, is an important part of our education and continued work as visual communicators, says Sophia Wood, course coordinator.
- Throughout the history of the Orion Theatre, the transgressive and the visual have always been given a prominent place. The doors to other art forms have been wide open since 1983. As the theater now celebrates 40 years throughout 2023, it feels extra nice to build on that tradition together with Beckmans. It will be a way to take our history forward, says Christopher Backholm, communications manager at Orionteatern.
