Beckman College of Design x Royal College of Music

Beckmans

In the course Moving Graphics and Image, first-year Visual Communication students learn to work audiovisually and enhance music through performing arts and moving images. Since 2021, Beckmans has had a collaboration with the Royal College of Music through the concept Sound&Visions where five students at KMH are paired with five student groups at Visual Communication. During the fall, the musicians apply with a song, and are then part of a collaboration.

This year, Kristine Botros, Armand van Wijck, Eli Ulfhammar, Erasmus Talbot, as well as Siri Anna Flensburg and Alexander Wallin will take part - a range from experimental electronic music to jazz, folk music and film music.

During the five weeks of the course, students work in the program Resolume and Cinema4d, while receiving inspirational injections from animators and performing artists such as Minna Floss, Annie Tådne, Charlotte Risch, Emanu and Martin Löfqvist.

The project is led by:

Jonas Johansson, lecturer in Visual Communication at Beckman College of Design

Emilie Lidgard, Collaboration and Innovation at the Collaboration Department at the Royal College of Music
